Towing capabilities by engine The 2019 RAM 1500 comes with three engine options: 5.7L HEMI® V8 with eTorque, 5.7L HEMI® V8, and 3.6L Pentastar® V6 with eTorque. There are only two transmission options: the 850RE coupled with the 3.6-liter V-6, and the ZF-built 8HP75 coupled with the V-8. These two transmission modes have eight-speed automatics.
